How we prepare

  • Drawing from life

Still life, plaster head, proportions and perspective — every week from real models, with feedback right at your easel.

  • Composition

2D and 3D composition exercises, so you don't freeze in front of a blank sheet at the exam.

  • Portfolio

Together we select the pieces that show what you can do, fill in any gaps and prepare everything for upload or submission.

  • One-to-one consultations

When you need extra time on your portfolio, we can arrange a one-to-one consultation outside the group: 60 minutes for €30.

Good to know

  • Pay by card online or by bank transfer against an invoice, always at the start of the period.
  • You can make up a missed lesson on another date if you let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Later cancellations are charged in full.
  • Subscriptions do not auto-renew: before the period ends, we check whether you'd like to continue and only then send the next invoice.

Who it's for

For students aged 16+ applying to VŠVU or FAD STU — even if you've only just decided. If you're aged 12–15 and aiming for ŠUP (Secondary School of Applied Arts), your preparation runs in the 12–15 group on artizokids.sk.

If you're under 18, a parent submits and signs your studio enrolment.

How to start

  1. Step 1: Write to us

Tell us which school and programme you're applying to and what's already in your portfolio. Use the form or send a WhatsApp message.

  2. Step 2: Trial lesson

Join the group, let Alina review your work and see what to focus on. Your trial lesson is free.

  3. Step 3: Regular classes right up to the exam

Once a week in the group, with extra consultations as needed. We keep your work at the studio so you can see your progress.

Teacher · Alina Koroleva

Prepared by Alina Koroleva

Alina Koroleva is an artist and teacher from a family of visual artists. She teaches classical drawing — still life, plaster head, proportions and perspective — every week, and builds a clear plan with each applicant right up to exam day: what to draw, what to add to the portfolio and when to finish it. We don't promise admission; we promise readiness.

About Alina and the studio

Frequently asked questions

Do you guarantee admission?

No — no one can guarantee admission. We help you prepare thoroughly: draw regularly from life, put together a strong portfolio and walk into the exam with a confident hand.

Will I have enough time if I start now?

It depends on what you already have. VŠVU portfolios are uploaded on 7–14 December, and the FAD STU exam is in January. At your trial lesson, Alina will tell you what to focus on in the time remaining.

Is the preparation one-to-one?

We work in a group of at most 8 people, so Alina has time for everyone. You can also book extra one-to-one portfolio consultations.

Do you prepare students for other universities too?

Yes. The foundation is the same — life drawing, composition and portfolio — so you can also prepare with us for other art and architecture schools in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. We'll go through your school's brief together at the trial lesson.

I'm 17. Can I sign up on my own?

For students under 18, a parent submits the studio enrolment. Message us together with your parent and we'll arrange everything.

What language are the classes taught in?

In Slovak, English, Ukrainian and Russian. Since the exam is in Slovak, we'll also practise the key Slovak art terms with you.

What if I miss a lesson?

Let us know at least 24 hours in advance and you can make up the lesson on another date. Later cancellations are charged in full.

Drawing without exams

Adults can also build solid drawing foundations in our Academic Drawing course.
