1. Who we are and what these terms cover
- ARTIZO is the brand under which Alina Koroleva (“we”) provides the services described below. We offer them on the websites artizo.sk and artizokids.sk.
- These terms apply to contracts with consumers (spotrebiteľ) — people who book something with us for themselves or for their child, not as part of their business. Companies and businesses are covered by our Business Terms.
- We conclude contracts in Slovak or in another language we agree on (English, Ukrainian, Russian). The Slovak text of these terms is binding; the other language versions are translations.
2. Our services
- Art classes — regular lessons in age groups: 3–7, 7–9, 9–12, 12–15 and 16+ (teenagers from 16).
- Courses for adults — Drawing & painting for adults, and Academic drawing.
- Art school entrance preparation — a course.
- Workshops — one-off events on a fixed date.
- Summer day camp and the “Zimné dielničky” winter workshops in December — for children.
- Birthday parties at the studio.
- Gift vouchers.
- Studio rental — terms agreed individually.
- Corporate team building — under our Business Terms.
A lesson lasts 2 hours and materials are included in the price. Materials are included in workshop prices as well. Lessons and workshops take place at the studio at Radlinského 27 unless our confirmation names another place.
3. Prices
- The prices of all services are in our Prices list; for events, also on the event’s page. Prices are final — we add nothing to them.
- The operator is not a VAT payer.
- For subscriptions, the price list also shows the price per month.
4. How you sign up and when the contract is made
- You can sign up through the form on the website, on WhatsApp, by email or by phone. Signing up is not binding and costs nothing.
- We get back to you and agree the details. Then we send you a confirmation by email or WhatsApp: what, when and where, the price, and how and by when to pay.
- The contract is made by our confirmation. From that moment your place is reserved.
- If you find a mistake in the confirmation, let us know and we will correct it.
- The contract consists of our confirmation and these terms. Please keep the confirmation. We keep it for as long as the contract lasts and for 3 years after it ends.
- A child is signed up by a parent or another legal guardian, who is the party to the contract.
5. Payment
- You pay by bank transfer against an invoice that we send you by email. We do not offer any other way of paying yet.
- A subscription is paid at the start of the period it covers. For other services, the due date is on the invoice.
6. Trial lesson
- For children, the first lesson is free.
- For adults, the first lesson costs half the price of a single lesson.
- The trial lesson commits you to nothing. You decide about a subscription or a course afterwards.
7. Subscriptions and lesson packs
- Monthly subscription: 4 lessons within one month.
- 4-month subscription: 16 lessons over 4 months, 4 lessons a month. [TO CONFIRM: whether the 4-month subscription can be ended early, and what is refunded then]
- Courses for adults: a pack of 5 lessons, or single lessons. [TO CONFIRM: by when the 5-lesson pack must be used]
- A subscription does not renew automatically. If you want to continue, you sign up for the next period and pay for it again.
- Your lessons are in the group and at the time we confirmed to you.
- If we cancel a lesson: [TO CONFIRM: a make-up lesson or a refund]
- Your right to withdraw within 14 days is described in section 11.
8. If you can’t come to a lesson
- Let us know at least 24 hours before the lesson starts — on WhatsApp, by phone or by email. You can then make up the lesson at another time or in another group. [TO CONFIRM: by when a make-up lesson must be taken]
- If you tell us later or don’t come, the reserved place is charged at the full price: a lesson from a subscription or pack is used up, and a single lesson is payable in full.
- This rule applies to lessons in the art classes and courses and to single lessons. Workshops, parties and camps follow section 9.
9. Workshops, parties, studio rental and camps
9.1 Workshops
- They take place on a set day and time. The price is per event and includes materials.
- You sign up as described in section 4 and pay as described in section 5.
- Cancelling a booking: [TO CONFIRM: cancellation terms for workshops and parties — what applies when you cancel a booking, and up to when]
9.2 Birthday parties
- We confirm the date, programme, number of guests and price individually.
- If you cancel a booking, the same applies as for workshops (9.1).
9.3 Studio rental
- We agree the date, scope and price individually. Our confirmation will also set out the cancellation terms and say whether and how you can withdraw from the contract.
10. Gift vouchers
- A gift voucher (darčeková poukážka) is worth €50.
- You can order it through the form on the website, by email or on WhatsApp. We send you an invoice, and once your payment arrives, we email you the voucher as a PDF.
- Validity and use: [TO CONFIRM: how long the voucher is valid and which services it can be used for (also partly?)]
- The recipient books a date with the voucher as described in section 4. The booked date then follows the rules of that service.
- You can withdraw from buying a voucher within 14 days (section 11).
11. Withdrawal from the contract within 14 days
11.1 When you can withdraw
If you conclude a contract at a distance (zmluva uzavretá na diaľku) — by email, on WhatsApp, by phone or through the website — you can withdraw from it (odstúpenie od zmluvy) within 14 days without giving a reason. The period runs from the day the contract is made, that is, from our confirmation. This applies to:
- subscriptions, lesson packs and courses that you pay in advance for several lessons;
- gift vouchers.
This right does not apply to a contract made in person at the studio.
11.2 If you want to start sooner
We start lessons within the 14-day period only if you expressly ask us to (for example in an email or a WhatsApp message) and confirm that you understand that:
- if you then withdraw, you pay a proportional part of the price for the lessons that have already taken place;
- once all the lessons have been provided, the right to withdraw ends.
11.3 When you have no right to withdraw
Workshops, the camp, “Zimné dielničky”, birthday parties, and a single lesson or trial lesson on an agreed day are leisure services that we provide at a precisely agreed time. For these you have no right to withdraw within 14 days (§ 19(1)(l) of the Consumer Protection Act No. 108/2024 Coll. — zákon č. 108/2024 Z. z. o ochrane spotrebiteľa). If you can’t come, the cancellation rules in sections 8 and 9 apply.
11.4 How to withdraw
- Send us a clear statement that you are withdrawing from the contract — by email to [email protected] or by letter to the place of business. You can use the model form on the Withdrawal page, but you don’t have to.
- We will confirm by email that we have received your withdrawal.
- We will refund your money by bank transfer. If the lessons started sooner at your request (11.2), we deduct a proportional part of the price for the lessons that have already taken place.
- The full statutory information is on the Withdrawal page.
12. Complaints
- We provide our services with professional care. We are liable for defects in our services under the Civil Code (Občiansky zákonník) and the Consumer Protection Act No. 108/2024 Coll.
- If something was not as we agreed, tell us as soon as possible (reklamácia) — in person, by email to [email protected], on WhatsApp or by phone.
- We will confirm your complaint in writing (by email) straight away and tell you by when we will deal with it — within 30 days of the day you told us about the defect at the latest.
- If we reject your complaint, we will explain why in writing and tell you about the option of alternative dispute resolution (section 13).
13. Alternative dispute resolution
- If you are not satisfied with how we handled your complaint, or you think we have breached your rights, you can ask us for redress (žiadosť o nápravu) — preferably by email to [email protected].
- If we reject your request for redress or do not reply within 30 days, you can file a proposal for alternative dispute resolution (alternatívne riešenie spotrebiteľských sporov). The competent body is the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia), Department for International Relations and Alternative Consumer Dispute Resolution (Odbor pre medzinárodné vzťahy a alternatívne riešenie spotrebiteľských sporov), Bajkalská 21/A, P. O. BOX 29, 827 99 Bratislava 27, [email protected] or [email protected], soi.sk.
- You can also turn to another authorised body on the list kept by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.
- The procedure is governed by Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on alternative consumer dispute resolution (zákon č. 391/2015 Z. z.).
14. Photos and videos
- We photograph and film people who can be recognised only with their consent — for children, with a parent’s consent. Photos of your artwork (or your child’s) are also published only with your consent.
- For children, this is a separate written consent from a parent, given for each way of publishing separately (the website, the studio’s Instagram and Facebook, printed materials, exhibitions, the parents’ group).
- Taking part in lessons, workshops or the camp never depends on consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Details are in our Privacy Policy, section 6.
15. Personal data
How we process personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not send marketing emails.
16. Final provisions
- Contracts are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic.
- We may change these terms. We will publish each new version on the website with its effective date; a contract is governed by the version that was in effect on the day it was made.
- Consumer protection is supervised by the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia), Inspectorate for the Bratislava Region, Bajkalská 21/A, P. O. BOX č. 5, 820 07 Bratislava.
